Mediterannean theme dinner @ Swiss Room and four of us have the pleasure to try out some delicious Mediterannean delicacies. Chef’s from Malaysia and staffs from Singapore to Russia and Canada and many more.

There weren’t much expectation from the food cause I have no idea how does mediterannean food look and tastes like, so it was all just an expectation of more-than-moderate level.

First impression was good because we were given champagnes for an aperitif at the reception area before seated. Nice glasses and obviously smooth champagnes to gulp down.

First off, some appetizers were served : Soury-Bitter dont-know-what

Let’s see…I seriously have no idea what is inside, all I know is that it has Lime skin, orange and some herbs and as for the skin…no idea but it sure is delicious if you like sour-ish food *Good way to start a meal *Gastrick people will ~~LOVE~~ HATE this serving**cough cough*

Second Appetizer: Fried Bread with garlic served with Mediterannean dipping

Well…same goes to this. Garlic lovers will adore this food but applause for the dipping is a must! It’s delicious…tomato puree with some mediterannean taste to it.perfect combination…

Third Appetizer: Cold Cucumber Cube garnished with HOT chilli liquid and finish with a spoon of Sour Cream

Yet another appetizer that has to have their deserved credit. Who knew that cold cucumber served with spicy chilli paste will taste so good and to neutralize your taste bud after the spice with a spoon of sour cream? magnificent combination

Drinks (alcohol cocktails or non-alcohol?)

Tivu Blue : A specialty drink from Tivu with the senses of tingling tangy orange, leamon and zesty lime coated with sugar lining

The Horizon: Fusion of Pineapple and Strawberry cocktail

Sunset Passion: Fruit Juice with a tinge of sparkle

Personally, I prefer Sunset Passion the most cause it doesnt contain any alcohol and it tastes just nice. Same goes to our table guests’.

Long waited and at last our starter arrived. Slyvia & I ordered Chicken Roulade served with Cucumber Raita. Czet and Joe Joe ordered the Duo of Tea Smoked Tuna and Tomato Cumin shooters.

Both equally delicious but I think the Chicken Roulade was nicer and the yoghurt dipping was perfect with the chicken.

Mmm Nyum Nyum….after the delicious but light starter we have our main course. Well, originally there were two choices for main course but due to some kitchen error, ~~they do not have enough LAMB~~ so we took the second choice; Black Tiger Prawns. Not bad but I would definitely prefer to have the rack of lamb instead. Plus, the starch for the tiger praws were not cooked enough, the rice were slightly uncooked. So it was alil disappointment in that. Anyway, it still tastes more like nasi lemak’s sambal prawns…haha!

Starch were too much as you can see, therefore, none of us managed to finish the whole plate except for the prawns of course….

Dessert and Hot Beverage: The Maldivian VooDoo Lily + Cappuccino

Oooppss….I know the picture loooks very….unorganized but actually it was a very nice decoration. Unfortunately, none of us remembered to take the picture.

Anywhoo, the dessert is a Mediterannean Jelly with some Passion and Lily liquid and decorated with crispy and aromatic almond slices and caramelized rose petals.

Sounds delicious? BECAUSE IT IS ~~VERY~~ FREAKING DELICIOUS!! Every dish was great despite the main course’s rice.

That marks the end of the meal and before I forget…credits to the restaurant’s decoration….it was awesome!romantic with the mediterannean feeling to it. Applause and great job y’all!!

Well…let’s not forget that we obviously did some cam freak-ing of course…how can we not?? it will not be us if we didnt right?hehe…

Summer Skiing!

EaEaster Break Easter Break…Summer Summer….what should I do during Easter Break?? Chocolates and bunnies and more sun? Scott and Kevin came up with this idea of going for skiing during the break since we have nothing to do and it was a long weekend for us…

Skiing on a Summer day?? yea….summer skiing it is….wasnt that bad..at least there were still snows on the ground though it’s not as thick as it was during winter (obviously…)

Moving on…I was pretty excited to go since I have never done skiing before and looking at the pro-ness of those ski-sportsmen working on the ice…hehe!who knows?i might be just as good as them…^^

We went to Schuez a city near Luzern about an hour by train only….pretty near and it’s cheap by swiss train. Sun is shining like crazy up there and you can seriously feel the heat and pain…so unlike when you’re on ground level and it’s much hotter up there.

We went in the morning and finish skiing at about 5 something and we left to catch the next bus…well, overall result was TIRING! but the guys were great…no idea why also…so unfair!if only i am that strong as them to carry the board of skiis then i’ll do fine and wont be that lazy to pull that long stick up the snow…plus, not to mention…looking at my a.k.a twin brother snow board makes me jealous only (i should start taking up surfing lessons! ) *Psstt….it was all only me myself being so lazy and alil ~~lousy~~ moderate in it…but not bad for a first timer and such a not-strong lady to be skiing…=]=]

Wee~~ Not bad right?? Well, at least I manage to ski down nicely and safely

While the guys were enjoying and tiring themselves, we girls do our thang…but even the guys joined after a while to take a break after the tiresome…

Spring Break!

WooHooHoo!! At last it’s Spring Break!! Have been looking forward for this day to come for a VERY VERY VERY loooong time….Plans after plans during Spring Break. For us? there ain’t no such thing as spring break because we ARE clean people….we dont need any spring cleaning during spring time…*Mom must be saying “ya right!”* (sorry mom…but my room IS indeed very clean…neat but im not gonna deny on the thickness of dust collection…^^)

Sooo…Spring Break and so is also for our never-ending courseworks *phew* Well…me and a few of my friends and housemates planned to have a trip to d’Amsterdam but plans had to be canceled cause

something huge came up that made us financially tight
the accommodation during that time were mountain HIGH
some restrictions plus it was too short a period to plan on a perfect trip

So yea…our trip to visiting the windmill was a failed one. However, we did not fail to plan other trips but this time we were all separated..each going their own trip. Some went to Spain and some Germany, Paris, London and many many more down the list. Sadly I was not part of any those holiday plans because I headed up to UNITED KINGDOM BABBYYY!!! not London, not Liverpool and DEFINITELY NOT Man U!!(read that Ade? =P) Anyways back to the path…intention to go was to visit no other than my precious and beloved sister Ling…

Well, we both were very excited for me going there to visit here because it has been so long since we actually saw one another sides Webcam of course…but that’s so NOT counted! my intention of going there requires a HUGE price okay…it aint cheap at all…who said travelling around Europe is cheap when you’re there? Well, technically yea it is cheaper cause you dont have to pay for another long-haul flight…but it IS still expensive…just by saying on the exchange rate can eat up pocket till a big hole..a price to pay?definitely but I will not argue with anything because it was a trip worth all the $$ I spent (excluding the amount of things that I have to specifically buy under the request of her…namely CHOCS!) *the bad point of coming from a country so famous in producing milk and delicious chocs…

*Note": the ~~best~~ worse thing that happened on the whole trip from going to leaving was to wait for 5 hours for my delayed flight when I was flying there…FREALKING 5 HOURS!!No joke…insanity waiting at an airport that doesnt have anything much! DOUBLE INSANITY…

ANYWHOOS………It’s already the pass and all I can remember most is not the bad flight-experience but more on the UK busses, FOOD, and definitely my SIS… Happy Happy me…(we both were jumping up and down while hugging as a greeting after almost a year of MIA)

Nottingham Day 1

Rise and Shine early in the morning and off we went for some Shopping SPREE! yup.,…shopping spree…some money allocated to shop of course…what you find @ Nottingham, you don’t find it here @ Swiss…so who will miss the chance to buy?well…of course not alot…still need to safe up ok…

FIRST stop : Greggs

Some breakfast needed before a rough day ahead no? So I was brought by MY personal tour guide to try out this really famous pastry bakery that sells (well) PASTRIES of course…and trust me..they sure are famous in UK! The line were long and they sold out real fast…plus, the people that goes in those shops are people of ALL ages…and I mean ALL ages (people from even babies were choosing their favourites and old people queuing up to buy some for themselves as well…) Lucky me when i went there i got to buy the one very well recommended by sis to try cause it’s one of her favourites…hehe!

Mmm Nyum Nyum *munch munch* IT WAS DELICIOUS!!!!yes I know it is very fattening indeed but heck the weight-watching for these few days wont kill me…^^ So where was I? oh yea….it’s VERY VERY delicious and it’s BIG & TASTY…no wonder why the line were so long…

*Btw…we went in to this cafe that sells stuffs similar to Starbucks and Coffee Beans but they are obviously SLIGHTLY BIT less expensive as compared to Starbucks but they tastes as good……ordered another recommended product *The Latte* – Delicious Delicious too…(yes I do know that it seems like everything that i ate here is delicious but they seriously are…I wouldnt wanna say that something is disgusting when it actually tastes GOOD would I?)*

Millie Cookies!!! Some very special cookie that I have never seen and tasted before in Swiss…hehe…it’s a Soft cookie by the way…

SECOND stop :

After satisfying our lil tummies it’s time to WORK and get all dirtyly hands on…

*Wouldnt elaborate on this part…there isnt much to say when it comes to two-shopaholic going to town looking for some shopping fun…

YUP!!food AGAIN…confirm gaining some pounds after spending those pounds on FOOD…

well…this one we didnt get greedy and instead of getting one each, we SHARED our choice…placed our decision on the roasted potato which LOOKS great & SMELLED great of course…^^ Another Yum Yum…

FOURTH stop : SteamyBOAT

Yes Yes i know we just ate our “tea-break” but then in reality it was a few hours later ok…we’re not really stuffing ourselves with food!

Yummy steamboat and I know that for you guys who are back in Msia must think “STEAMBOAT???”but over here…even steamboat is great…we planned to have some really delicious 3 course meals but unfortunately our luck weren’t that good that for all the restaurants that we wanna eat in are fully booked! Thanks to their Mother’s Day (for your info…Mother’s Day @ UK falls in March and not May) But who cares what we ate…so long as the company was great nothing matters much……

FIFTH stop : Nottingham Casino

Oh well…there weren’t anything much in there but it was just for an experience being in one @ UK…but of course it is also smaller than any other casinos…they’re just for some small leisure moments…nothing HUGE or EXTRAVAGANT (all in all it was an experience being in one…)

That marks the end of Day 1 of Nottingham…overall…GREAT fun…happy me happy US…And I slept pretty early too due to the lack of sleep the previous day (it’s close to a no-sleep)

Nottingham Day 2

Day 2 Day 2 Day 2….not a good day cause it means it’s my last night being with my sis…bad bad bad!

FIRST stop : Nottingham University

HUMONGOUS!! Notts Uni is 10 to 20 TIMES bigger than IMI…a small part of the uni that was used for some accommodation is even bigger than my Uni…Plus…the engineering faculty itself is already 5 times bigger… It’s Un-Be-Lie-Ve-Able!

Btw….there’s a faculty (if Im not wrong is the art faculty…the building is made of all wood…pretty interesting)

It was only one stop today….though there were a few places that we went but it’s nothing huge or much to talk about…we went home after the trip to Notts Uni cause sis’ COOKING dinner FOR ME! another thing that’s unbelievable…hahaha!she never cook back in msia…well..she does for only small meals for her own. But now she even knows how to make ‘stuffed mushrooms’, ‘stir fried something with onions’, Marinated Roast Chicken’, ‘Garlic Rice’, and WHITE WINE SEAFOOD PASTA…! Sounds alot and difficult huh?

the food overall was delicious and not bad for a starter…*two-thumbs UP!*

Last Game before I left we had a traditional family game called the MONOPOLY! Miss it?100% missed it…long time since I touched or even say SEE the game…hehehe! It was fun and a night filled with joyous laughter and stupidity actions. What happened that night stays in the room…only 3 of us can know about the details..

Nottingham Day 3

The last day and the day that I have been dreading for it to come…

Woke up early in the morning to catch our flight…the time where we both parted towards our own paths…one off to Scotland and the other back to mountainous cold-old Swiss…

Not knowing when we will meet again since you CHOSED to go for Euro Trip over MY GRADUATION….so we wont get to see till who-knows-when…bad bad sis….I know you insisted on arguing that it wasnt your fault that it has to happen on the same day but STILL…it’s still a MIA for it….hmph!

Anywhoos…..that marks the end of my trip to Nottingham during the Spring Break…back to Swiss and a whole week of ‘Green Day’ and being Socially Responsible for the environment…Our theme for this semester.

Sam is smart and being a gentleman to buy us girls a cone of ice cream…^^b

Playing Catch Up

Sorry peeps….as you all know, this blog has been pretty dead over the months and I didn’t manage to find any time to update on it…TONES to update on…so yea!Catching up with the present I shall… ^^

Let’s see where I can start….

FASNACHT (19.02.09)

Well….Fasnacht’s basically a traditional costume party celebrated by the Swiss people and they play dress up….they really do and it’s from young kids to senior citizens…NO KIDDING!how cool is that?maturing people play dressing up….pretty similar to Halloween but so unlike is that MATURING people doesnt dress up in Halloween…if not all then MOST. hmm…where was I again? OH….yup…it’s a celebration believed to chase away the icey-cold winter and welcome the breezy-flowery spring *UNFORTUNATELY…..spring didnt came and it was straight to the early summer….how sad is that??* (Icey winter ate up breezy spring…T.T) PLUS……it even continued to snow till late march….sad sad case…and it’s so not fun to see no flower when it’s supposed to be blooming…=S

Anyway…Fasnacht’s a pretty interesting celebration but it’s also pretty scary if you’re not so into costumes and scary + weird looking masks (hehe)…btw…did I mention that this event lasts for a week?? A week of binge eating, a week of costume parade in the town, a week of beer drinking (building up their beer bellies…^^), and 3 days of no work!pretty long huh?but oh well….it’s tradition, even when it comes to traditional events, no-night-life swiss people party like crazy during that week. sadly WE students from IMI gets no special treatment to the holiday….study sessions like there ain’t no holiday….T.T

However, not forgetting to get us international students a touch and feel of Fasnacht, they made an event themselves and was celebrated in nowhere else but our very own Uni…*ok…i know that didnt make me sound very anticipated and excited but more on the side of disappointment. But it wasnt that bad after all….we had a great time dressing ourselves up too for that event and we got to eat some Swiss FOOD!haha….some pay-off session….OH OH!!before i forget….the band whom they hired to play for the event were GREAT….they were AWESOME!like seriously awesome….no doubt hands down….

let’s cut things short and off we go to pictures instead….it’s an occasion to celebrate so we shall celebrate it with pictures!! Off we GOOOO…..

Note: morning Open Ceremony was @ 5 a.m but we went for the experience and yea…we had an experience as well as being cramped up like a hot sandwich during winter…..

Night Trip to Zurich

Believe it or not, 5 of us went took a train all the way to Zurich at 7 something p.m just for a night out and some singing + eating…..interesting and exciting enough, we came home at 2 something in the morning (where everything was deserted and we actually WALKED home….as for the guys, they took a cab back to uni after walking us 2 girls back to our apartment.

Dining at an asian - singapore restaurant after quite some time triggers your taste bud for wanting more after that you know…..not having any makes it better at times so you wouldn’t think much about it….but it was really a satisfying dinner….had all kind of dishes and the all-famous singaporean fried rice…mmmm NYUM NYUM!*drooling*

Food was great and off we went for a singing session just next to the restaurant (a.ka sing K back in msia). NOTE: TOTAL DIFFERENT

sing in the public (not closed in a box where it is SOUND PROOF)
in a half restaurant and pub
LOTSA people (obviously…it’s a pub + restaurant = crowd)
ALL kinds of songs in multiple language for you to choose from… =S

SO……?a big difference huh?back in msia…even if you suck in singing you can still go for a singing session with your friends and have a fun time….but for here….TOTAL DIFFERENT…..if you cant ding DONT sing here…..you’ll only make yourself embarrassed. a pure pressure is that the people there can really sing….their voice are….*speechless**gulp gulp*

Well, my friends can sing…and as for me….i don’t sing (even back in msia….what makes a difference if im here? ^^) so as an entertainment….i took pictures…lotsa pictures….but of course im only posting some up….^.^

Geneva Motoshow

Hallelujah! It is the motoshow that everyone has been waiting for!At last it came and I HAD THE CHANCE TO GO! hahahahah! I know…many has been telling me that I dont like car and why am I so excited in going?well…it’s a ONE OFF opportunity to go for such a big event…it’s one of the event-of-the-year kinda thing ok…dont play play….and luckily it was at a part of swiss so it made it easier to arrange for us to go….^^b

Anywhoo….it was great and sad to tell you this new but Bastian…I have the means of taking hot chicks’ photos for you but so sorry they only have ONE out of all the cool and branded-sporty cars…(hahaha….I have been controlling on my laughter bas…keke….it’s funny cause there’s only one for me to take when there’s SUPPOSED to have TONES….=S)

Besides the “chicks”, obviously the main purpose to visit was to have a cool experience with the cars and get up close with them!HOWEVER…it was quite a disappointment cause there weren’t much chance for us to go up close and sit in them CAUSE there were TOO many people….!!!it’s like a HUGE version of PC Fair…you all can try imagine the crowd then….even the halls available for all the car displays were waaay bigger than the ones at KL Convention Centre….nothing that can be compared with….

AND who says i don’t like cars???I do like them ok…I even like LOOKING at them….it’s just that I dont like EXPERIMENTING them or COMPARING them (if that’s what it’s called for you guys who always does that whenever you all see a cool car passing by)

Overall the trip was amazing because i got to see many cars and expanding my knowledge not on cars but on the brands….hehehehe! but hey….at least I still recognize them…some girls dont even give a whipped of their eyelash to know them…=]=] As a knowledge at the end of the trip?I didnt kn0w there were so many cool cars out there for those wealthy-superly-duperly-freakingly wealthy people to buy them….(wait…did I mentioned wealthy twice?…oh well…that’s the only way that I can think of to describe them….that shows a sign of the prices of the cars there….*faintish*)

Mind you…I was wearing high heels for the event…and we were there from morning till evening….so if I bared with the pain to see the cars, it shows how much interest I have in them (not more than guys but enough) ^^

White Valentines

Ever had a Valentines Day that's neither Red nor Green but rather White?? Just for your info...it's not that bad having a white valentines....white plus snowing I should say..

Yup....My Valentines this year is spent @ Bern the capital of Swiss. Original plan was to actually have a day trip to the Italian part of Swiss but plans changed and Bern it was...

Why is Bern Bern??Bern is known as Bear in Swiss..and according to history, Bern was given the name after Bear because the 1st ruler of swiss promised to name the state after the 1st animal th

at he kills in that country. Therefore, as you can already guessed...the 1st animal was a bear...so Bern was born. Besides that, a bear represents strength and power in Swiss...so a bear is important and there was once when a bear was captured by the communist and killed by them and that's when Bern fell to the hands of evil and was reformed. The streets in Bern are narrow and small because of the rebuilding and overlapping of buildings after it was taken over by the communist. However, the name Bern still remained as a form of respect.

Well...as far as I know, Bern is WAY WAY more high-tech compared to Luzern. They have tramps going around the City area and the feeling of Bern gives you the high-tech side of Swiss...Bern are all Lakes after Lakes, as for Luzern it is Mountains after mountains. Trust me, hands down, Bern is also WAY more happening than Luzern is...probably it's cause they are the capital of Luzern and it's the 3rd largest state in Swiss.

Upon arrival, it wasnt already snowing though not as heavy as Luzern but it's much colder there.... =S

1st stop: Mc Clean (guess what's inside this place?) - clue: where you do your private businesses

Mc Clean IS a washroom / Toilet....it's a rather EXPENSIVE toilet to visit. But you definitely pay for the cleanliness as you can already see the name of the toilet..."Mc Clean". Though I was the only one who visited this stop but it's still part of my journey...so it's only fair to include it in right? ^^

The level of cleanliness for a 2 CHF per entry toilet is VERY clean regardless that it's a public toilet...crazy huh?it's 2 CHF for an entry to visit the toilet....discouraging people to use alot of water flushing your businesses away but leading to forming stones in your kidney... =S *speechless*

2nd stop: Clock Tower

It's not as HUGE as the clock tower (Big Ben?) @ London of course...keep in mind we're still @ Switzerland...no matter if you are in the capital of it of a bigger city =, it's still Switzerland...everything is still = small

According to a friend of mine, the clock gives a big ring and dong when it strikes 12 every Saturday....so we went there early to catch that "ring and dong" show...strike 12 and I was so excited, expecting to see a show, but sadly it was just a very normal ring....it wasnt loud NOR cool....

But But But.....the clock looks really nice....the design and carvings and scripts on the clock makes the whole tower looks ancient. Plus...it's colorful (Red + Gold)

3rd stop: Church

What comes to your mind the moment Church is mentioned?old, ancient, huge, carvings on walls aand etc etc....well...this church is still a living church which means there are still prayers going on every sunday BUT it's now also a tourists site. Transformed into it and a big number of tourists visits it daily...it's a really nice church for 1st timers to visit such a big church....

Anywhooo....the most interesting part from the church visit was climbing up a VERY narrow and opened stairway to the top of the church tower....height is a phobia for me since young...and now climbing such a scary stairway....*turns green* The moment it reached the open window section of the stairway, i can tell you....my whole leg felt soft and i went all giddy....the thing that is not helping to the situation was the spiral-style stairway.... *giddy giddy*

However, all's well when you reach the top of course....though it wasnt a good experience climbing up those stairs but i would say that it all paid off....know why?because the view from up there, over-looking the whole of Bern....was MAGNIFICIENT!!the only word to describe it....it's awesome.....im sorry but no matter how much i praise on the view, i cant give the exact feeling when you're personally there...

It was snowing when we reached, therefore, the top of every building and houses are covered with snow....Beautiful~~!!

4th stop: BEAR watching!!

Yup...you heard me right....the real bear in the town, outside for people to view....

The bear is soo soo CUTE!!!but obviously i dont know if it's totally harmless if you go near it or be IN its house...LOLZ...but it's so FAT!!especially the BUTT!!!hahahaha...dont think me wrong but i think you will also notice it....too hard not to notice when it's so BiG...hehehe!

5th stop: Rose Land

It's Valentines so how can we not visit the Rose Land at the top of a pretty high area....??yet another climbing....this time not spiral staircase, height or narrow stairs...but rather the steepness!how can we not thin down looking at the amount of walking and climbing we do in just a day's trip??hahahaah!!impossible right?try it out A!!believe me it'll succeed without much stress....^^b

HOWEVER!!!sadly i was so so blur and *stupid* maybe....I forgot it was winter and that it is impossible to have FLOWERS grown on a snowy land....so...yea...I went:

"Where are the roses???!!!i thought you say got roses.....but then i dont see any...we have to walk further is it??"

Dinner time!!after such a long day, skipping lunch.....time to saitsfy our growling tummy for quite sometime but forgotten cause of the excitement of the views....hehehe

Chinese Chinese!!havent dined @ a chinese restaurant for ages now...*at least it felt like one* Plus, friends of mine knows our seniors who are working in that restaurant for internship and job....so...why not?we have special service and FREE pots of tea....if not we'll have to pay for that and a pot of tea is not cheap like back in msia...so it's FOC....^^

Anyway, nothing much to be described here and I shall let the pictures do the talking since according to *brian* my blog has too much word and too few pictures.... =S

The day of Ups & Downs

Weather here has gone hay wire!!!during the weekend; Saturday was raining the WHOLE day....Sunday it was snowing so heavily the WHOLE day too...it's like you couldnt go out cause the town is either too wet or too cold and snowy....sad case isnt it?

You know what's worse...TODAY! I have never EVER encounter anything like today EVER!!!not even since i came here....it was like a snow blizzard!!!weird weather....having the morning to be so sunny, then snow alil then sunny again, then snow heavier than before and then it was snowing the WHOLE time since we reached Uni....thank goodness we were already there...if not it'll be a chaos to walk in such a heavy snow storm.

PLUS, it was snowing so heavily like it was raining that the ground was covered with inches of thick snow...and it couldnt stop snowing till even when our class ended at 5.30!it practically snow rain the whole day.....it was a nice sight at 1st and nice to play, but then when it became heavier and heavier it turns into a disaster...im not exagerating here...not at all! Did you know that all of us who are staying outside are stuck in uni and we couldnt go home cause the snow storm is too strong and heavy....causing the bus to not function and the road is covered with THICK snow....NO BUS!!!can you believe it???!!!!if back in Malaysia i'll understand, but here??they had no choice but to do so cause the road to my uni is narrow and it's either up or down hill...so it's dangerous. =S Stuck there for quite sometime and in the end we heard rumors that they are gonna re-run the bus so we walked all the way downhill to the bus stop and found out that they were only going one way...so we had to walk all the way uphill and further from our uni to another station to catch the bus....The most interesting part was that we were in between two stations when we saw a bus coming...but if we go back, we'll be much slower than the bus and it'll pass us making us miss the bus BUT if we were to walk to the station where it was stoping, it'll be too late for us to reach there...So, due to desperate measure, we had to stand in the middle of hte road to catch the bus attention and make it stop for us to get in....luckily the bus driver was nice enough and understand what a weather it was that stopped for us to get in....^^b

Due to the snow storm, the whole town went hay wire with all the bus schedules and it was the 1st time i saw traffic in Luzern...and you can imagine, Switzerland is the town where everything is ON time....and today it was such a chaos cause they were so used to being ON time that this snow storm has slowed EVERYTHING down....the town was PACKED with people just wanting to go home to the warm feeling and feel comfortable...Terrible Terrible day....

Besides that, it is seriously a tiring day!I had class from 8 a.m to 5.30 p.m straight!!!STRAIGHT!!!!and 4 freaking hours of the same module...!!!!isnt that crazy....your mind is so worked out with all the information coming through your head, trying sooo sooo hard to concentrate, and brainstorming on ideas for the event that we have to plan....It's like you're BOTH mentally and physically exhausted...it's not tired anymore, it's EXHAUSTION....!!!

Worse still....during ICT module, we were given an assignment to do and we were asked to pass up the assignment on the day itself!!!right after class everyone has to submit it to him through email.Ahhhhh!!!!we had to research and study on all the webpages that we were assigned and come out with presentation slides on all the criteria's that he asked and we have to use those slides as part of the class session where we have to "teach"!I'm so tireddd!!!!no words or expression can describe the level of exhaustion im facing currently....

Sighh....stress!I was soo soo exhausted that i felt faintish....i seriously felt so giddy and i woke up at 5.30 this morning....for every 8 a.m class, that's the time that i'll have to wake up to get ready and catch the bus....T.T It's seriously the day of Ups and Down for me...

Shopping Street/Church Visiting

Last Sunday, out of anxiety, we visited a church (well...originally only one). Our first stop was a French Church that's just next to Chapel Bridge. Well, we chose a french church cause we wanted to experience a foreign language church and practice our french BUT it turns out that it was alil freaky. For me it is....I dont know about the others. Call me a non-religious person if you have to. Not offending any christians but I'm not a christian...I wouldnt understand alot of things during the session and the place was really old that it made me curious about so many things (even doors amde me feel curious about what's behind it) Plus, it made me feel alil uncomfortable cause they were doing some religious process on that day....I'm a Buddhist and even as a Buddist, I can say that I'm not really a praying or religious kind of person...I was born with that environment. So yea...it was freaky but an experience i guess...

Anywhoo....enough of elaboration on the french church. Kevin and Dominic were going to another church cause they are christians....so we were supposed to meet up after their church session but the french church starts way way earlier than the missionary one. So we had to meet up with them alil later but there weren't anything to do cause ALL (and i mean all) shops are closed on Sundays and so off we went to the missionary church with the both of them. Hmmm....how shall I put this....i PREFER the missionary one way more than the french one cause they are much more open, friendly, non-religious looking, funny, AND english! Another thing that's nice visiting the missionary church was because they are people from all over the country that lives in Switzerland and they have really really CUTE and ADORABLE children!!!all so small and young and CUTE...hahahah!

BTW....the streets on Sundays are really really disserted as compared to during the days of the week....all quiet and empty that even a drip of water from a distance can be heard. But, the shopping street's a really nice place to walk...both for shopping and experience in their way of locating and designing the shops. Plus...the sad thing is that SALES are about to come to an end....tomorrow will be the last day to shop if you want...T.T. Anyway, i think it doesnt make much of a difference cause electronics here are the same price as the ones in Msia which are not on discounts. even after "sales", it's still as expensive.... =S What to do when you're in one of the most expensive country? Sigh....no advantage at all unless you're shopping for winter wears which wouldnt be much useful as winter is coming to and end AND we live in Msia...who needs winter? That's if you wanna be a self sauna..... =P

Happy Chinese New Year Y'all!!!!I know it's alil out-dated cause the 1st day of Chinese New Year was about a week ago...but better late than never no?

It's the very 1st time I celebrated Chinese New Year abroad...It means without family members, house visiting and no meeting up with friends and etc...!it's alil depressing that it's gonna be such a huge difference for me this year....with all the homesick, it's not helping at all...Not a single bit of help to the problem...but I am glad that i have friends who are nice and friendly that I didnt feel lonely at all during Chinese New Year =D

At a normal Chinese New Year, people normally have a reunion dinner on the eve of Chinese New Year, but for us it was lunch...hahahaah! After church session all of us wanted to have a lunch together with good food...!plus, with such a good chef of seven years, all the way from Australia but Korean....how can the food be DISGUSTING???not even close...hahah!

While Kevin's cooking, some were "Tasting" on the dishes and some were ironing clothes...cause we all had nothing to do besides getting ready all the stuffs, which we've already done.so...some personal time and playing around. Some were also sitting there, just sitting down and wait for the dishes to be served...(haha...jkjk)

So many delicious dishes that was cooked in less than an hour.Fast but NICE....that's called quality.hehe!Since Slyvia and I bought a HUGE Octopus during the Saturday market, we decided to use that as one of the dishes. Just normal blanche Octopus with really really nice and spicy dipping to enhance the freshness of the Octopus. Yum Yumm!!

King's Day!

Okay....first notice is that King's day isnt today nor last week...it was WAY back in early January and really sorry cause I couldnt find any time to update on it. So....here we go!!

SO!Who's wants to be a king today?or feel like a king?well, it is not up to you to decide but the BREAD *yup...you heard me right...the bread will decide who becomes for the day for each customer* To cut things short, on the 6th of January every year, it is called a King's Day in Switzerland. According to history and believes, there are 3 kings who will each pick 2 bread from the crown-looking-bread and eat it. Whoever who gets the king "toy" in their piece will be the King of that kingdom. Therefore, it has become a tradition to the citizens here to practice it *but in a non-serious way of course...no one's gonna replace the current king by just picking on the bread and get the toy*

It's really cool that they made it into a tradition cause I have never heard anything like that before. Plus, most of the bakeries will be giving the "King" bread out to customers who visits on that day for free (You HAVE to buy something...duh!nothing is free). Plus, whoever that becomes the king-of-the-day will ahve to wear a crown on top of their head and get to order whoever to do something for the. Cool huh?haha! Anyway, one of my Korean friend got the "king" but she wasnt really the real king for that day cause all 6 people are only allowed to pick on the same loaf of bread ONCE. If you dont get the toy then you wouldnt get a second chance to choose another piece. But yea...she did so she's not the official one among our group...^^

It was great fun though i didnt get the Crown.

OH!before I forgot, the bridge is not called chapel bridge but it's called Chapel Bridge....but from Chapel Bridge you get the view of a hotel taht's in the mountains and one that looks like a Palace.

Alrighty....I guess it's about time to get it posted on the places that i have went so far since i reached here....well, before classes were given the chance to start, a group of us took the opportunity to explore Luzern and have a walk on their shopping street. Okies....1st stop:

THE LAKE

I bet many of you know that Switzerland is very well-known for their huge lake and beautiful scenery....well, this place has both of it...huge lake and beautidul scenery as a back drop. The Lake is not any tourist site where everyone goes to visit but it's part of a very interesing place I've went to because it doesnt need much traveling as it is situated below the mountain area of my uni.....approximately 10 to 15 minutes walk only. Plus....the walk can never be boring cause there are so much to see on rich people's houses. They're not only huge but the design and structure of the houses are magnificent.....*salute the architects who put their work on it*

The lake is so wide and huge that it can be seen even from my uni.....it's so beautiful and the water is Crystal CLEAR!!Furthermore, the mountains as the backdrop of the lake makes it even nicer.....breath-taking. =) The facial expression from everyone when we reached was the mouth forming into an O shape following after a "WOW". lolz....

I didnt know my uni is so close to such a nice attraction.....hehe!Well, it was so close to the time that we're about to go back to the apartment, so, we had to catch the bus and didnt manage to stay for long. Never mind...definitely a next time...=P

GEUTSCH BRIDGE

Nothing says Geutsch Bridge....this is a bridge that's made out of wood and has been there for ages if im not mistaken....It's right in the middle of Luzern Town and it just next to the shopping street and being in a very busy area as the Main bus station and train station is just opposite...

It isnt like any other tourist attraction site because you dont have to travel very far to get to see this bridge.....as mentioned above, it's in the middle of Luzern. Cool?pretty...at least for me. I pass it everyday cause it's the only way for me to go to uni and back from there. Okay, Geutsch Bridge looks old and it's not brand new....what do you expect from a bridge that's old and made out of thick wood?However, every person who visits Luzern and come across this bridge will never take their eyes off....no matter how often you see it...because it is just plain nice to see! Well, other than that, *this can only be seen when you're walking on the bridge* every top of the ceiling, there's a board that's decorated with drew-on pictures and every board along the whole bridge has a different drawing to it. Beautiful and it looks very ancient.

The Guide

Olla~~!!this is where exploration brings you.....not knowing where you're going and just being out of curiosity we found this place with breath-taking scenery. We were just on our way back to the bus station after walking in the shopping street but a very narrowed stairway peeked our curiosity and so we decided to try the narrowed way to see what's up there...cause as you know...msia dont really have an ancient narrowed stairway which is CLEAN you know...so we tried....once up there there weren't anything but an empty area with a few cars. But you know...it's part of exploration, so we didnt give up till we're satisfied to find something interesting. After a few miles of walking up the hilly road, we reached saw another really narrowed stairway which will lead us high up to dont-know-where. Curiosity again and we were so full with energy the other day, we climbed that high and narrow stairway and along the way....the view was already very beautiful...(like i said...everywhere is beautiful here), all snowy white. We were still very blur and didnt know where we were besides knowing that the concrete thing along the place is really huge and ancient, till we saw the board at the entrance of something narrowly small as an entrance I (ever wonder why things that are narrow or ancient looking make us feel excited?i have no idea also...)

And it was the bridge that we have came to reach with one eye close. Mussegmauer Wall is some ancient wall that was built to somehow protect the citizens living there...that's why some of the houses were at the other side of the wall.....only protecting some perhaps?i dont know.....? =S The wall is so huge, tall and long that it stretch till dont-know-where. Really nice and the view that you can capture....olla olla voila!Unfortunately some didnt manage to see it cause they were too tired and they wanted to go back to haldenrain (our apartment). wasted but dont hesitate to go try the walk again....you'll love it at the end of the walk....trust me. =)

Life @ Swiss

It was the day of induction and everything was all organized to meet the schedule. Met a few new students and seriously, though IMI is in Swiss but there's only ONE swiss guy in my class...out of so many...only ONE.No one is from swiss in my class....how sad... =( not much swiss students..

This may seem very random but YESSSS!!!!I have to so agree with you now Adeline....MOST of Swiss guys are Hot and Cute!!!No doubt....it's like...every minute or second there will be one....As for guys, there are also many pretty girls here...Both in my Uni and Outside. *want me to show you some Sebastian?*hahaha....

Study life here at Swiss is stress....nothing comes in easy here...the equation here is no work = no fun. You dont do your work on time it means you wouldnt enjoy it cause you're having your PA mark deducted...It's not hard to complete a work that's assigned but then you are bombarded with workS and it requires alot of mind cracking and gotta stress alot thinking on what to do....Dissertation is the torture for all graduating BA students....instead of having it done in a year's time, we here have to finish it in 6 months...stressful no? So much to do, So lil time!! Even on the 1st day we've slides to do regarding social responsibility...though it's part of induction...but still!! Plus, 2nd day only and we are required to work on thinking on our dissertation topic and has to have it ready the next day....Stress level is High Up - bursting!

Furthermore, I have never experienced waking up so early in the morning which is 5 am to bathe and get all ready up for Uni....having to catch bus is never my try but over here.....it's not only just taking bus but you have to walk so far with slightly high slopes to climb every single day to go to Uni and go back to my apartment....tiring!!!But really new experience and now i believe that coming to IMI is gonna make me an independent person. So many things that i have never need to do back in Msia...

Despite the stress that I'm facing, it's alot of fun cause i get to see many things out in the town and also seeing new faces and going to Uni everyday with friends....pretty fun actually.

Off I was on the very day of New Year and I am very very thankful to have friends like you all...some i expected to see them there to send me off but some seriously unexpected and I'm glad to be able to meet up with you all at least once before I leave.

Without further explaining on a post that should have long ago posted up....I would just wanna say that we have to give credits to the Singaporean's and their government for having such a good idea on their new airport terminal. In comparison with KLIA....there isn't any match to it at all.....the place is not only nice, but it's very Big and CLEAN!not surprised on the cleanliness part but the thigns there are....no doubt expensive too.Having 4 hours of transit at SIA, an exploration in a brand new terminal is a no-miss....the place is full with branded shops and the shops are all beautifully decorated. Without less either, the entertainments available on plane was EXCELLENT!tones and tones of movies to choose from, and sooo many movies for each language. From Korean Movies to Malay movies.....and games...needless to say....just as many available. *thumbs up* Singapore!!

Not forgetting also....my parents...i love them to bits for giving me the chance to study abroad. Nothing in words can describe the never-ending love that you get from them. It was also the week where I saw the other soft side of my father...though never very well in expressing emotions besides *cough* nothing.

Touch down~!!Freeezing cold when i was out of the plane...walking was a difficulty cuase it was seriously freezing cold when we reached. Was alil disappointed though, cause i was expecting to see snow flakes falling but no it wasnt on that day.

The 1st thing that came to my mind when we reached was...

COLD

EXTREMELY COLD

and nothing but COLD again....

Guess what?all our luggages were at no surprise to be super huge and super heavy....hahaha!!felt so bad for the man ho helped us put all the luggages up to the car that will bring us to IMI. Plus, the car was embarassing FULL!!dont even think about looking at the rear view mirror....you'll see nothing but luggages.LOLZ!!*^^*

Upon arrival, we're not allowed to rest at all through out the whole day!!!once we reached IMI, had to check in to our apartments which is...not in IMI but downtown....so have to travel again. Then, came tour around the Uni and off we went to downtown for alil wlak around to get ourselves familiar with the shops, places, and buses that we will be needing for traveling up and down from our hostel EVERYDAY. Everything but rest was given to us and we're all dead tired after having such a long trip to Swiss. After a stressful day, we had alil grocery shopping for breakfast the next day and off we went back to our lovely home....Soo Soo tired and exhausted!Plus, the night comes in very early here in Swiss cause of winter, therefore, it feels like a very long day and seems like it's very late already.

Fri-Day-Out

It has been a week since I met up with them @ Camp and this would probably be the last time I'll be seing them before i leave... T.T

So yea....met up with them @ OU and originally we're supposed to meet up with each another at 5 pm...but sinc I have no transport, so I went there earlier after lunch....and who knew that i'll bump into Bas and Jules too....didnt know they were there with parents either...Walked around the whole of OU to get bas' desire and desperation for pants but ending up Jules buying all the stuff....sorry Bas...I guess you're just too tall *nvm...you'll find one that suits you..hehe* Went to every single possible shop that sells male pants but still fail to find one...you can imagine how difficult it is for him to buy one... =S

Soon enough....Adeline reached too and so we met up and walked around some more till Ka Yi reach and time to eat...=) Seriously full of entertainment from the Shii family and it was a great spending time having full blast of laughter non-stop.*yea....you can imagine that* Full-Load I'm telling you...imagine on the amount of exercise gained without much effort but just laughing.LOLZ...

Dinner was @ Delicious and the food was indeed Delicious...

Ho Ho Ho....Christmas is in town and so is Santa~!!!what more can you ask from a festive season like christmas where everyone gather around like thanksgiving to celebrate and understand the true meaning of Christmas.....However, though im not christian but I've always wondered how Christmas are spent for christians *are they exactly like the movies?*, and I've always wanted to try celebrate Christmas in the right way...but sadly never gotten the chance...

In accordance to that matter....how did I spent both Christmas Eve and Christmas?? My Christmas Eve this year aint any special or exciting like last year though....I spent Christmas Eve on my bed watching Pans Labyrinth (some Spanish Movie...but it's nice, so not a problem). It was still okaayyy though i didnt went out to party with any of my friends cause i needed to wake up early for an early outing down town, Pavillion *some rest needed*

As I've mentioned, spent my Christmas today with my parents in Pavillion and it was PACKED with people....*People Mountain, People Sea* So much for recession eh?i guess not so in KL....YET? The deco's for this year was comme si comme sa only...i prefered last year's one more as it looks more...enchanted. As for this year's deco's, they were alil....too goldy...and there weren't many decorations done inside of the mall...but more on the outside with that HUGE and TALL Christmas Tree....but all in all....still acceptable...hehe..^^b

Main reason for going to Pavillion was to....

1st: see the deco for Christmas

2nd: to buy gloves, long johns and other necessary stuff for the last time...

3rd: food and tea time of course....haha

So....all 3 tasks were completed but task 2 was alil different...it was done half at Metrojaya and the other half in Pav. It was all because there weren't any shops that sells Long Johns in Pav...so had to walk all the way to Metrojaya to buy them....not too sunny today, luckily....

Tummy calls for food dont they when they're hungry??so we had lunch @ Madam Kwan's and had their Nasi Lemak and Daddy had Nasi Lemak Bojari.....freaking 20 Ringgit for one Nasi lemak Bojari....but it was for the quality i guess....but but 20 Ringgit??alil too exp dont you think...(it's also the only restaurant that sells Nasi Lemak that can have my dad's appraisal besides Village Park, DU. He actually said it was better than Village Park..!!After so many tries....at last there's one which can win over the one they love so much...haha). And soon enough it was time for tea time...evening tea seems more like it since it was nearly 4 when we went for a drink...Reccommendation for coffee drinking @ Pav?well...besides Starbucks or Coffee Bean....a go-to place for coffee break is The Loaf...Their Freezeee Coffee is one of the best!the ice that they put in the cup are filled with strong coffee liquid and the overall of the taste is Amaziiing....try it out...worth the try even for those who anti-coffee. Sides, an average cup of coffee wont do any harm to you.... =)

yes....i seriously am and im not kidding...how in the world would i know that Swiss is gonna be THAT cold???and the forecasted weather will be FREAKING NEGATIVE....NEGATIVE!!!!i certainly didnt see that coming....!!and how can a SUNNY winter be THAT cold???!!!there's sun and NOT wind...how how how??? i know....dont be fooled by the sun but but but.....how can???im so worried that im not fit for that kind of weather...how about my winter coat??it's not WOOL....can i stand it when i reach there??gossshh....i certainly hope so....*please let it be a slightly warmer winter when i reach*

Plus, i didnt plan any shopping for long johns....and now im so dead....i have to think and plan to buy one now....definitely i still have time to go shop for it but then im gonna get scolding kao kao from mom cause i didnt bought it last time and i INSISTED that i dont need to buy it now and buy it there if i really need it....however, receiving the bad news from Miss Wong saying that it's VERY VERY cold there and long johns there are expensive....*i seriously wanted to go back time to where my mom asked me if i needed long johns*....so that i wouldnt get any scolding....*argh*

In conjunction with "Tong Yuen" festival (chinese festival with glutinous balls) on Sunday, an indulgence to Abalone's, Yee Sang and definitely the famous glutinous balls for the festival. Originally, these glutinous rice balls should be hand-made by ourselves and has the believes that each glutinous balls that you make and eat is equivalent to another year older....BUT knowing that everything now are pretty much commercialized and can be bought in the supermarket, and breaking alil rule for this year due to busy-ness, mom bought them instead. Not forgetting, they are supposingly to be "kosong" a.k.a wrapped with nothing. However, dad only eats those that are not EMPTY, therefore, the ones we bought are wrapped with other ingredients such as black sesame *my FAVOURITE*, peanuts and red bean paste....It's the 1st time our house celebrates a chinese festival besides Chinese New Year...so yea...it came in a surprise when i was told that we're gonna eat home on a SUNDAY.

Traditionally, people who does these festivals have to undergo some praying session but like i said....we never did this before, so we practically had a dinner which are partially chinese and partially western....Fusion?nahh....dont think so..Anyway, mom plan to indulge us with delicious Abalone and Mushroom Stew served with a thin slice of Poultry complimented with dad's white wine....Yum OH Yum!!!! And not forgetting, since im gonna miss CNY this year so mom made yee sang at the same time to satisfy my cravings for it....hehehehe.....Muacksss....me lovey zee yee sang very the muchie...sadly i will only be eating it once and it's before CNY...T.T *i know ling ling....you must be missing the taste of it too and salivaing with the food mom made...*

Anywhooo.....im down to 10 fingers now...and it's counting down everyday till the very day....freaking out alil!!And guess what????!!!!my luggage's only 26 kg...muahahaha...means i can bring an extra 4 kg more to fit my check-in....why not maximize it when you can?we requested for it anyway....*wink wink* But having to think how am i gonna carry my super-duper large, heavy and over-sized luggage will be a big problem...*fingers crossed i have the strength to carry it*

Apologies for the lack of post(s)......Though I'm on break but something has been keeping me occupied throughout my semester break this sem...Can you guess? Those who have been hearing me talk about it non-stop will be able to know what im so fully occupied in....hehe.

THESE are the books that have been keeping me occupied throughout the holidays....Okay....Pleaseeee dont call me a nerd, maniac, insane, crazy, lifeless or whatsoever....Seriously...I mean...i know it's funny that i spent most of my time reading story books but c'mon...at least they're not Encyclopedia(s) no?they're just Story Books....Books that are actually interesting...sides, i bet anyone who reads it will agree with me that they're just SOO SOO addcitive and agree that you cant stop reading once you start unless you end the whole series...which I actually did...finished the books in one row....and they're all very AWESOME books to read....go read it and you'll know what im talking about...^^

Unfortunately, I haven't had the chance to catch the movie as it was a really wrong time to be released for me....it was exams and after exams everyone watched it in ahead of me...so now im left with no one to watch it with...T.T (though i know people said the movie sucked if compared with the book, but isnt it the same for Harry Potter?so i bet it wouldnt be THAT bad...plus, Edward Cullen is super sweet and Robert is CUTE~~!fits well for Edward's role....hehehehe....XoXo)

Okay...enough rambling and praises for Twilight....before everyone starts hating me for talking about it ever again...haha. It's been a week since my relatives came for a visit + stay at my house....and i miss them badly already...though i didnt spent much time with them *being so coiled to Twilight*. And even so....even if im not so coiled over Twilight series, i still wouldnt be able to go out with them...=( it's kinda difficult to look after so many kids when they're still young.It's gonna be last time i'll be able to see them till the time when i come back from Swiss. Plus no Yee-Sang-eating with them!!How sad is that! T.T *but im still getting my early yee sang from mom...muahahaha!!

Anyway, just as a reminder....I still have my life....no worries...im still sane. At least i still go out for outings with friends and have been visiting Starbucks ALOT...being stuck there the whole day *willingly* to drink and just spend my endless-free-time there.haha...good way to spend time also eh?

On the very same Sunday, a trip down brickfields, MahaVihara Temple with Chung Kai and Adeline for pre-camp to play the games and activities that will be played during camp...As usual, the threesome are fashionably late again. Overall, it was a great catching up, seeing the others after a year of MIA with them feels kinda good....

Bas' attempt 1 & 2 but still fail to do it...(station game)

OH!my final's results for previous sem has been released and turns out, my results weren't as bad as i've imagined it would be...Actually the results was pretty good....haha...way way more than i expected. Hopefully my parents wouldn't have a say in it. *fingers crossed* Im not exagerating or anything here but then, truthfully, i haven't been able to sleep well for 2 nights due to worrying about results, so....I'm glad that it's over at last....released a bundle of worries from my head.

GOSH!!in 2 weeks time, I'll be in a plane flying off on my way to Switzerland!!!that's....very FAST!!!im so so so not ready for it yet!!I've been looking forward for it a month ago but now that it's getting closer...it kinda freaks me out alil....though im still excited and etc...but the feeling of heavy hearted is still there to leave my family members, friends; from close friends to darlings to Buddies....sob sob. And mom have been forbidding me from going so often already having reasons that i've been going out alot lately and that i needed to start packing...but the thing is I DONT KNOW WHERE TO START PACKING!!!!it's freaking me out so much...knowing that i take a long long time to pack my stuff and im only left with 2 weeks which passes in a BLINK of an eye....but i seriously dont know where to start....so much to think about and so much to bring...*headache* Being a good girl, i stayed home today to start packing alil *folding clothes nicely and rolling them up* to show my mom that i've started packing...or else she will start asking me pack to every single day....I'll most probably end up rushing to finish the packing and panic about the weight of my luggage...hahahah...maybe that's the excitement and thrill in studying abroad...worrying about the luggage weight....Oh well....what can I say...even guys are worried on their over-weight luggages....(mind you...this happens not just on girls these days...time have changed. hehe...)

Being so bored-to-death at home during holidays, luckily Bas is here in KL to go out with. Went to Aman Suria the other day to yam cha as soon as Bas and Ju's back and off the 3 of us to pick up Queen Adeline from her house to go for a drink. Got nowhere nice to go, so we just get ourselves to sit in a chinese restaurant since the both of them haven't taken their dinner. Funnily, guys always think they can eat alot so they always order a bigger portion and ended up eating more than they could. Yup...that's what happened to Ju and Bas...

While ordering

Bas: One Hokkien Noodles for 2 & One Hor Fun for 2 (surprisingly in Mand...Bas speaking mand???yup...believe it or not but it has improved since i last heard...haha...good job Bas!!)

Adeline: Bas...you know me and Ee Yin's not eating right?

Bas: Ya ya....i know...

Adeline: told you it's big portion and you said you know we both are not eating but still order so much...

Adeline & I: couldnt stop laughing...and Ju said nothing besides comments to Adeline cause he was enjoying the meal without feeling full and can still stuff down Tim Tams and some choc...*salute*

So see...better not order so much next time than stuffing yourself with all the food.hahahaha....lesson learned? Plus...the night was all filled with laughter and the whole restaurant was all blasted with our laughters and talks....hhahah....great night though it was short. you

My Last Teen Year

I officially turned 19 the day before...and it means that this will be my last year of being a teenager and turning into the 2's next year onwards....sad case sad case....but shooh....maybe i should think positive..and besides, I'm not gonna be OLD till I'm 27 perhaps?I dont take 20's onwards as old...but just not a teenager anymore...Teenagers where you have time hanging out with your friends playing out at night and doing crazy stuffs....not that you couldnt when you're not a teenager anymore...but then it's different because most of the time when you turn that age...it's all commitment after commitment on both your career and your own life...pretty much in the future...Urgh...commitments again.

Anywhooo...The day started off with some shopping at Sogo...*it's been AGES since my last visit there...close to 10 years or maybe 10 already.* No other choice since we're very early for lunch. Walked and shopped till it was noon and it's time to indulge ourselves with delicious chinese cuisine at Celestial Court, Imperial. Me and mom WALKED there okay....do you know how far it is from where we were?but not gonna be a spoilt brat or somehting to complaint knowing what's gonna come up when we reach Imperial...FULL motivation to walk....lucky thing it wasn't very sunny. Wouldn't wanna reach there sweating like we just ran a marathon, would we?hehe...^^

Something that caught my eyes when i reached...hUgE

The whole setting in Celestial Court was really nice...it is decorated with all the antics and tradisional chinese ornaments and other decorating accessories but it gives the whole modern-chinese feeling to it with the touch of comfy sofas and cushions that are pretty plushy to sit on....nice place to dine in....check it out when you happen to be in Imperials. As for the food....needless to say it was mouth watering....every single dish in the menu not only sounds delicious with all the classic description but it's also very very interesting. Dishes that are cooked with ingredients we didnt know can be mixed together with other stuff to produce a delicious dish. *you'll see further on*

The menu has very nice patterns and cravings that are sew into the cloth. It's no surprise having a headache to choose what you wanna order as you cant order everything in the menu unless you're ready to help them wash the dishes for years or you wanna burn a big whole in your pocket/wallet. Different case if you can afford all of them.... =) Getting so hungry with all the descriptions...i closed my menu and let my mom make the decision on what to order as there are too many things that i would LOVE to try. Besides, how can the two of us finish up so many dishes? at least not for us though we can eat alot...haha.

First dish that came was the tarts *according to them, they only have limited amount per day...so why not try* But turns out...it wasnt exactly the normal taste of tarts...it's mainly filled with custard-egg mixture. So...not really satisfying but still acceptable if you're not hoping too much from the tarts.

Soon after, the second dish came and this time it's the pan fried prawn with cod fish and wrapped together with banana coated with crispy wheatmeal. THIS is the dish that i said it sounded weird....BANANA???with prawn and cod fish fried together?yes....it wasnt very convincing at 1st....was alil reluctant to order it but why not give it a try since they said it's a very famous item in the menu and it's "unique". Well....take this advice...no matter how weird any dish may sound from the description and ingredients, TRY it....cause the Pan Fried Prawn and Cod Fish with Banana turns out DE-LI-CIOUS!!!!it's seriously mouth watering....the 1st bite you take you can taste the freshness in the cod fish and prawns and later a slight sweetness kicks in from the banana and it doesnt have the strong banana smell to it. it was worth the try to order. Plus....the crispy-ness from the outside layer makes it even nicer. Crispy in the outside, soft and mouth watering in the inside.

Thridly, will be the "kun tong kao" also known as doubled boiled clear chicken soup with rich aromatic chinese herbs and boiled together with fresh abalone, scallops, mushrooms, chicken and shark's fin. it's boiled till all the aroma from all the ingredients are out from it's shell and is finished with grates of shark's fin, a whole abalone and scallop and lastly with mushrooms and chicken wrapped in one huge wantan skin. What's more to say about this double-boiled soup???It's HEAVEN!!!!the moment that soup spoon of yours touches your mouth and tongue, you can seriously taste all the aroma and the rich of herbs in it....it's simply AND heavenly delicious....the sweetness that came from all the rich ingredients from boiling are in each and every drip of the soup. *saliva drooling and day dreaming back to yesterday's lunch* I am honestly not exagerating at all....it's all in there...no words can describe the taste further from what i said...not until you try and you can only know it for yourself thanks to your tastebuds. The abalone is juicy and tastes so sweet and tangy in a nice way...and with the scallop...it's all as sweet as the abalone and it's just so nice to chew on....

Our very last dish that we ordered was the steamed bean curd with stuffed prawns and something-delicious-that-i-dont-remember-what-it's-called. It's alil TOO tasty for me (in other words...alil too salty). However, it's still nice excluding the salty-ness cause the bean curd is steamd till the right texture and the ingredients inside are tender, and juicy. so yea...i would say thumbs up for it too...^^b (sorry no pics for this...forgot to capture it). As for this year...i didnt get a birthday cake made by my mom but this time it was bought from Imperials. Well...their cheesecake's pretty good i can say...decorated with deliciously-shined strawberries and chocolates.

After delicious meal, the original plan was to head home to sleep...but unfortunately...turned turned turned and turned also i still couldnt fall asleep but did but only for 30 minutes max?was awaken to shower and head out for another birthday treat but this time with both parents...*dad was busy during the day so couldnt make it for lunch..and joining us for dinner* Went to Jaya One for dinner at a Spanish Restaurant and the ambience was really cool....nice place for chilling and hanging out. Besides, the prices are rather affordable...I wouldnt even say that it's expensive and the food was pretty nice actually...worth going there again and I'll recommend for any of y'all to dine there.

Feeling so guilty, and this is where the night turned all opposite way for my 19th....guilty to make bas wait so long to pick me up again cause my dinner went pretty long...Then, next incident is both me and Bas got lost going to Ju's house cause we took a turning instead of going straight. We have to take the super long way out to get back on track to go to Bukit Jelutong. "that was the longest U-Turn i have ever made!" was what Bas commented when we reached the house. THEN, the third unlucky incident was we were waiting outside of MOS for so long cause we had to wait for Abel *a friend of theirs* to bring us in with the receipt but he was NOWHERE to be found cause he was in the DANCE FLOOR....oh well...staying positive but was alil sleepy already....

However, although there were so many unlucky incident that happened during the night, it wasnt really the wrong choice cause i know it doesnt always happen that way and it was my 1st time going with you guys...so it was worth the try...plus...it wasnt THAT bad till it was a whole regret....cause i didnt regret going. =)

Lastly, the worse thing that has ever happened is that im partially grounded by my dad cause i went home late yesterday....got alil scolding here and there. Speaking of grounded...yea...I am partially now. it's either i dont get to go out at all or I can go out but i have a certain time that i need to be back home already....URGH!!!it's so so frustrating!!I'm 19 already....why am I still grounded though it was only partially grounded....BUT STILL!!!it's still considered as one...!this is my last time to be a teenager and i got grounded the very next day...how great is that???BAH....and Im gonna be graduating next sem...it means that I wont have much time to play as much as I can now....it's gonna be commitment after commitment and MORE commitment cause I'll be working soon...isnt it fair enough for me to even enjoy it now???I'm grown up enough to take care of myself and it's not like I'm going with people whom I dont trust....Plus, isnt it time for us to take our own responsibility on what we do and know what's right and wrong?we should be able to choose the way we wanna do things among ourselves and take the road and be responsible on the path we take....so why cant I????it's so tiring at times you know...I cant be the goody goody girl all the time, can I?it's time that i grow up and take care of own decisions.Sighh....

Before i finish....I just wanna say thanks for all the wishes, presents and surprises from y'all...thanks for calling me no matter if I'm here and you're far off at UK and etc...i enjoyed every single part of the day though there were upS and downS.....that's pretty much what everyone goes through everyday...but Thanks everyone for that special day...*hugs hugs*

Anyway, i better sign off now....got lots to do today to prepare for my relative's visit to KL.will update soon...*next update - outing with Adeline, Bas and Ju.*

Farewell Moments

Purpose: Class Gathering for BA2A

This semester ended just *snap* like this. we hardly got to catch on the time and even on what we were doing this whole sem. It was all on work work work and more work that we hardly had time to reflect back.

Exams are over and it means having long breaks and will be meeting up with your classmates again next semester but for a few of us, it means departing and not being able to meet again till who-knows-when. not having the thought of missing the people that are in your class and people that you're not close to for the whole semester. it came to me like a sudden slap when i was looking through the pictures that were taken during the farewell and a feeling of missing came into action.

The whole gathering was a blast and it started off by taking some pictures (okay...maybe not SOME but MANY). The whole purpose of this party at first was like a gathering/celebration for after exam, but seeing that a few of us from this sem's class will be leaving for Swiss to further our studies, therefore, it became a farewell party for us. It was the time for us to catch up on one another and the time to start getting to know your classmates for a sem even better. Sadly to say but very true, that many of us weren't very close to one another as our class was huge for this sem and it's merely 6 months....it'll be hard to be close and easy-going with one another besides the group of friends that you are mixing with since the starting of the sem....So yea, we did our camwhoring session to loosen up the atmosphere and soon enough....everyone was laughing and chit-chatting their way with anyone and everyone in the class. Though not everyone from class attended but it was still a huge amount that it feels like a whole.

We chit-chatted, laughed, photo sessions, and playing around while waiting for all the food to arrive. Finally it came and everyone was being very kind and shy to take the food. So, the guys would have to go 1st since they are not so shy afterall....hahaha....and from there onwards, everyone start to take a step after them and helped themselves with it. slowly, Mr.Gabe (EDP lect) came to join us and came Miss Loo (HR lect) and finally Mr. Tham (AA). But sadly they didnt stay long since they have even more important stuff to do in the office. However, we teenagers never fail to entertain ourselves, especially without the guardian of lecturers. So you can imagine the things we did *namely guys*

I tried running and succeeded at the 1st attempt but failed when they came unexpectedly...though having that Chocola-tish smell on my hair and face, but thanks alot for the farewell gift.... =)

I dont know why, even though i wasnt close to alot of them throughout this sem but all the hard-concrete walls were demolished that day....i enjoyed myself so much that i started to miss every single one of them by the end of the party....it was such a fun gathering but it was saddening all the same. Slowly, one by one they left and was given a handshake and hugs to wish all the best and save trip there. I dont know how much i'll miss you all when im there especially the BOTH of you....*you know who you are*, knowing for two years in just a blink of an eye and now we have to depart form college life....however, i believe we'll still keep in touch no matter how far we're apart. And as for those who were once my classmates but are not undergoing internship, i'll try my best to meet up with as many as i can....

And for the meantime, I'll have to say Au Revoir to my 2 years of college life's college...=)

I can smell it....I can smell freedom!!!!it's all over and around the air....inside out....YUM YUM...~!craved for today to come for sooo soo long and AT LAST it's here....The moment i set foot out from the exam hall, the *sigh* just came out and all i could think of was how im gonna enjoy my holidays before stressing on results. Gladly to say that im still human and i HATE exams just like any of you out there...but i wouldnt say all....as i've come across people who actually enjoy exams...*not saying that it's wrong or offending anyone, but truthfully....exams are a BIG headache*

So, as i was saying....holidays are here and it means more on FUN FUN FUN and MORE FUN.....however, my 1st day of freedom was spent at home as some of my precious friends went out with BF, GF and some didnt wanna go out but just make giving themselves a good rest after 3 days of stress. For me.....i was planniing on the 3rd option at 1st....but it turned out to go the other way and instead of relaxing and giving myself a good rest, i chose to watch Heroes season 2. *i know i know....im VERY outdated now that season 3 of it has already came out....but i didnt have time to watch it...plus, gossip girls was my 1st option to watch 1st...so Heroes has to come latter*

Anyhooo.....after exams, there was a farewell party held for the whole class to do some gathering...(will update on this another time on another post...it deserves one on its own). Hmmm....the very 1st thing i'll do the day after exams is going shopping with mom again...but this time not Pavillion anymore...*no worries*, this time a change if location and we'll be headed to The Gardens, Midvalley to do some shopping since Robinson's on SALES for cardmembers.....muahahaha!!!the temptation and i can seriously hear them calling me to pay them a visit, which i will tomorrow....=D

*before i sign off....should i go *ahem* for the last time with my friends before flying off and not being able to do so again with them? OR should I just be a good girl staying home watching my series and sleep early?* Help me....i need advice and comments...

Why Why Why????does things work like that everywhere or is it only in Malaysia???Fuel prices has gone down from high RM 2 to only RM 2 now!!!but all the things here are still so super exp...!!e.g. FOOD!! food prices still remain as high from the previous "sudden" increase of fuel price...but eventhough now the fuel prices has decreased but prices on food and etc remain stagnant....make sense????NOOO!!!at least not to me....such a waste of money....and the other bad thing is: "why is bus fare increasing when fuel is already decreasing????"seriously dont make sense man.....have they ever take into consideration the amount of money needed to be spent on something that's not worth the price at all but forced to purchase due to the needs????sighh.....instead of thinking about stupid ideas to help the poor ones, why not set laws that ARE actually helpful to everyone??seriously got nothing to say anymore man....

Secondly, the thing that has been bothering me are ScholarshipS. What's scholarship?partially helping out on school fees for deserved students no?yes yes...i know there are many different kind of scholarship that are offered; scholarship to help people with financial problem; people who deserves scholarship from good results; and scholarship for much participation in sports....

then how do you define scholarships for people who deserves them for having good results??it means giving out partial help in tuition fees to these people regardles on they have financial problems or not right??but NOO.....now ALL scholarships that are offered seems to neglect the differences in certain scholarsip.....for example: why did they reject MY scholarship with the excuse that "oh....cause you're going to Swiss to further your education, so, we're not granting your scholarship application." WTH!!!!!for your information....but the so-called scholarship that i applied is based on my RESULTS and not based on financial problems or not!!!GOSH.....seriously man....think and see what kind of scholar im applying for and can't you think of better excuses than that??arghhh~~

Thirdly....second case on scholarships is on my sis' one....that's even worse!she have high achieving results and still reject the scholarship application....!!and that scolarship was stated very clearly in the application form that this scholar is for exceeding results and high achievers..saying that she was qualified to be in the finalists....means she's getting it already but sending letter in the end to decline it and saying "we are sorry but we see no further help in any of your financial, therfore, if there are any changes in your tuition fees or changes on your financial only we will reconsider it. Thank You." BULL SHIT!!!!Every part of the BULL!!!you just said financial part is not gonna be the main consideration in this scholar...then why are you rejecting saying that we dont have financial problems so you have to reject it???!!!Grrr....all this nonsense scholarship cant be trusted anymore....giving false information and all and giving stupid excuses (when stated opposite) to reject it.

Shopping is seriously the KEY to every girls dream of being happy...well, though I know some girls just dislike shopping but definitely not gonna happen on me...it's just so tempting to shop shop and SHOP!it's such a sin to do so as you spend so much once you start....cause once you start, you cant stop.. =S

I shop shop and shop yesterday from morning till late evening!sad but true enough....yesterday was the very one day where i spend so much EVER this year....but satisfying enough to make me forget about exams and studies for a day....^.^

The main intention was to go for a Japanese Buffet @ Jogoya, Starhill Galery BUT knowing me and my mom, since when we ladies go down to KL just for lunch and during late afternoon?never....so yea...followed dad down to KL when he's going to work in the morning. Our venue for lunch was @ Starhill Gallery....so...what's the nearest shopping complex that is so SUPER near to our place?where else? Pavillion is the place and it's a shopping heaven!ahhh~~LOVE and ADORES that place so so very much-ie.....=D

Anyhoo....seeing that we're very early for lunch both me and my mom went to Pavillion initially to just window shop and look around at stuffs that i MIGHT need to buy for Swiss....however, window shopping is a very difficult task for people who loves shopping...so you know what i mean by that.

The guilt.....I do have guilt okay!eventhough i love this hobby so much and after spending close to *ahem* amount of money....PLUS not STUDYING for a DAY!!makes things worse.....officially gonna be broke by the time i leave my dear Home.....sob sob! and it's time for me to pay the watch that i bought from Fossil the other day....time flies faster when you have bills to pay when the VisaS come....sighhh....why cant things be cheaper!!

After all the satisfying activity, it's time to take consideration on our poor lil stomach which is crying of hunger and our poor feets & legs from all the walking, it's time to munch on some delicious Japanese food!

Unfortunately, the food was rather disappointing....i was hopping more from what i had. My 1st visit was way way better than yesterday's meal....i have no idea but it kinda gave me a determination on not visiting it anymore....it's the value for money rather than the amount.

knowing aunties....they can talk and chat for a very long time like we teenagers do too...so my mom and aunts talk all the way till the end, laughing and etc...and for me..?what else besides looking around at food and munching on them till my tummy is satisfied after all the hunger...=P left Jogoya at around 4 something and had to do some exercise after eating so much which is walking across to Pavillion to where the car is. Anyway, it's worth the walk...hehe....some exercise do no harm right?

Sick SIck & SICK AGAIN!!!!

Can you B-E-L-I-E-V-E it????AGAIN????in like what?about a month ago of recovery and here it comes again....

People always say...when you grow up, you'll eventually be stronger, healthier and happier....but mine is all the total opposite!!!!well, im not trying to say that im not happier nowww....but then it's much more fun last time than now...no stress and no need to think about silly things that we all have to go through in life...it's mainly the opposite for the health wise...=S I mean seriously....how worse could it get some more?once every month???HOPE NOT!!

The worse thing about me being sick is that....i DONT heal FAST and my situation changes within a NIGHT time....during the day i can still cough cough alil...and when it comes to night nite....I start haviung super HIGH fever, flu starts coming in....and getting all so dizzy. SIGH.....that's how my life is even after i grew up...ever since YOUNG!!!how tired I am already... =( Plus....the amount of meds i have to take every single day...looking at it makes you feel like vomitting...This time...it was 2 rows of flu + cold Panadol, cough mixture, some Simtec thing and more....not making it better is my gastrick...having too much intake of med leads to the pain of gastrick...so..adding on the TWO gastrick pills....it makes the situation worse...

Anywhoo....while battling with my "old friend's visit", I finally did my very last presentation for this semester which is also the hardest of all and our group did pretty well...never expected that much but ah well...who ever says no to good scores?hehe...=D

Time to buck up and study already seeing that finals are just around the corner...and I dont wanna think of what to bring to Swiss YET!!!still alil too early no?cause I still want all my stuffs here with me while im still here!!!sighh...but mom kept bugging me cause sending it there takes a pretty long time looking at how long it took my sis' one to reach UK. Bahhh....you know how much i hate packing...actually thinking...not packing...haha... =P

Anyway....wish me luck in studying for my finals and doing the best i could for it!!!really need it for this sem...tough tough*

Cheerleading 08 & Oktober Fest

Being just like high school, we still have sports day here in my college...pretty cool though...slight different and much more interesting than before...Anyway, it was on a saturday...though saturdays are for sleep-ins but ah well...a few sacrifices for a year is not such a bad thing right?As like last year, sports day was held at Sri KDU and we all cheerleaders had to be there by 7.30...so you can imagine what time i gotta wake up and get everything ready....=S

Super Super Duperly HOT it was on saturday but of course it's better than a gloomy and raining day for sports day right?and how to do cheers and events if it rain no?As usual....the itinerary says it starts at 8 but knowing Malaysian time....it always starts at least 30 minutes later...and ended an hour later than expected....

Overall it was a pretty fun day besides all the waiting and tension before performing our cheer....*wink* Beating the record, our Hotel school won again for the overall standing for Sports Carnival 08 and for the cheer squad too....happy happy as all our efforts and hard work paid off....=)))) Besides, we have really strong competition compared to last year...so our success this year was happier than previous year....Plus, we won for the very first time for basketball....so it was all good and cheers to everyone from Hotel School!!we ROCK....!! =D

Went home and BOOM straight to my bed after a refreshing shower as im asked by my mom to get sufficient sleep due to my fever and to energize myself for the night time....hehe..=P

Firstly went to KL for lunch with Jilly, Slyvia, Nick, Linardy and Aiman....cause these guys are supposed to spend us lunch after us helping them out so much on somethign important....haha...so it was like an exchange....originally the plan was to go there @ 12....but it was dragged till later in the afternoon cause some couldnt wake up....hahaha...

The food was all very well and delicious i would say....never expected it to be as good...but the portions are way too HUGE!!!!it's not big but HUGE!seriously...if theres any guy or just about anyone who can finish two main course from there or even one whole set meal *starter,main course, dessert* i'll really salute you....hahaha....Anyway...the food's great overall adn the day turned out not bad...but only had lunch and then went back to PJ to collect lie's laundry...

And got the news from the papers about ZARA having clearance stock in somewhere near JAya One but unfortunately God doesnt want us to spend any money....made so many rounds....rounds after rounds after rounds we went there but still couldnt find it....=(((( so sad...but anyway...think positive!!!enough of spending money....spent too much already...hahahaah

And then on that week's Sunday it was lunch with madame @ KLCC for some catching up...and not forgetting the good old laughs from her about stuffs....=P Had a great time catching up and she's changed to much much better already!!not so messy and not in the rushing mode anymore...hehe...

After stuffing ourselves with Chilli's, Jilly, Slyvia and I went to Sungai Wang*please dont ask me why i went there* but it's really fun...i didnt know going with friends that actually know the place well or at leats better than me can be fun....hahahaah!it was really adventurous....going KL all alone taking all the public transport for the 1st time the whole day...!!!and two ways...not one way....=P thanks you gals for that trip down KL!!!it was fun....*wink*

LiL cute hamsters from Hamsterdam landed in KDU to do some selling and marketing for themselves a few weeks ago...

they're super duperly CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!seriously....i didnt know i have such deep obsession on hamsters.....and one thing that's good about them is that they DO NOT have TAILS....miss ee ling...*some education needed* hehe....=P

Opppsss....i know i've seriously been MIA for a really really long time this time....but i've got very valid and acceptable reasons for doing so okay...haha...=P

Anyway...time to speed up and pick up where i lift off last time...

nothing much that's happening happened...just the usual coursework headache and of course...cheerleading now that sports day is coming....so much to learn in just 2 weeks....people have been going on saying..."are you crazy???can that happen in 2 weeks time??" wel...the answer is...crazy enough even if cant happen also we have to make it happen no matter what....so..that practically means staying back everyday for 2 whole weeks till late night to practice and make things work....!crazy enough?some more with the amount of coursework stacked up...though reaching the end of the semester but this is the time where the hard project comes to the due date...=S (specifically finance analysis...i dont see a thing why we need to do it when it's not even related to any industry for my course!!)

anyhoo....exams are real near now....really gotta buck up and study all i can for my last sem here...=( Time to enjoy and party all i can before i start studying!!!hehehe...*wink*
